The Week I Realized Busy Wasn’t the Goal

Let me just say this: I worked my entire face off this week, and by Thursday, I was staring at my screen like—what did I even get done?
I used to think full schedules meant full success. Like, if I had enough on my calendar, I must be moving forward, right? Wrong. What I had was a pile of tasks that looked productive but didn’t actually push Kayvara forward.
So I stopped.
I sat with my iced coffee, reopened my ClickUp board, and asked myself one question:
"What actually moved the needle this week?"
The answer? One client follow-up I almost pushed to next week. One outreach DM I sent at 9:23 PM while wearing my bonnet. And one story post I nearly didn’t share.
Those three things brought in a booking, a lead, and a new follower who DM’d me, "I feel like you’re speaking directly to me."
I don’t need more hours. I need more intention. And so do you.
If you’re building something right now—whether it’s a brand, a business, or a life you’re proud of—ask yourself: what’s actually working? Then double down on that.
Mini reminder:Busy doesn't equal booked. And doing "all the things" doesn’t equal doing the right thing.
Until next time,Kayla
